Bonus Roll Theory. Mists of Pandaria

A theory I have that might increase your chance to win epics with a bonus roll. I think that an epic has to have dropped to even have a chance of winning it with a bonus roll. For example: 5 useless items have dropped that you can’t win, use a coin and you won’t have a chance to get a different item of the boss his loot table. 1 item for your spec has dropped, use a coin and you have a chance to win that item. Please let me know if my theory is correct or if I’m talking out of my neck. The music in this video is provided royalty free. I got gloves off Elegon (from coin) and caster trinket + wand dropped.

I think you’re right there, the bonus roll gives you another chance at existing loot, rather than other loot on the table which hasn’t dropped.
